Hey Mom, Let’s Get Your Energy Back.
You’re exhausted, a little flat, a little more anxious than you used to be. You’re dragging yourself out of bed in the morning and relying on coffee to get you through the day.
You’re physically and emotionally spent by 7pm and pass out putting the kids to sleep or shortly thereafter.
Maybe you had more energy before kids? You can’t quite remember. You’ve felt like this for awhile. It’s your new norm.
Mom life, right?!
I see this scenario a lot in my office. Mom of a few kids. Busy. Sleeping ok but despite that, can’t seem to get her energy back.
I’ll look at labs. Run an iron panel. Assess hormones - thyroid, sex hormones, and adrenal hormones. Assess nutrient status. We will talk about lifestyle factors - stress, diet, exercise and sleep. Together we will devise a plan that works for (and with) her given set of circumstances.
Because here’s the thing - you’re not supposed to be feeling crummy. You should have energy. And it’s not just “mom life.”
